What wedding catering costs in Mallorca
Our per-person prices, everything they include, when a wedding costs more, the venue rules that shape the price, and why most of the budget goes on the table and the people who serve it.
Exceptional catering and event production in Mallorca.
We are a catering and event production company in Mallorca. We build the kitchen, cook the food, run the bar and keep the day to time — so that on the day itself, nobody needs to ask you anything.
That is what we think an event should feel like: relaxed, with a room that is genuinely enjoying itself. Everything it takes to get there is our job, not yours.
Linen, napkins, glassware, the way a table is laid — the details guests feel before they can name them. Refined, never stiff. A room that looks beautiful and still lets everyone relax in it.
We spend on what you actually notice: the produce, the linen, the glassware, the people serving it. Not on the extras that read well on paper and are forgotten by nine o’clock. The essentials, held to a standard.
Chefs, waiting staff, bar and logistics arrive as one team on one briefing. Nobody waits for food, no glass stands empty, and the atmosphere holds all evening — because the same people are running every part of it.
“All of the guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had and we completely second that! … you also changed her meal at the last minute … that was incredible service from you guys and very kind. The waiting staff made sure that no one’s glass was ever empty throughout the cocktail hour and dinner, they were all so friendly, happy and just helped create the atmosphere we were hoping for.”

I started La Van out of a simple frustration. Weddings and events had become stiff, and complicated in ways that served tradition more than the people in the room.
People were already after something else. Not cheaper, and not less careful — the quality still had to be there — but a day that felt like them rather than one inherited from somebody else’s wedding.
A destination wedding should be a celebration for all involved. Guests fly in, take days off and make an occasion of it, and what couples want in return is for those people to have the best few days they possibly can. That is the brief we work to.
It began as a party van. The original idea was a mobile bar and kitchen — a DJ, drinks and street food, turning up at villa parties and weddings.
It soon grew into something bigger. People started asking for other things — a chef for the villa, lunch for a film crew, a whole wedding — and we now run events across the island, from fifteen guests up to two hundred, for people from all over the world: weddings, company gatherings and retreats, villa and pool parties, private chef work, and film and photography productions.
We run the operation as well as the kitchen: tables, chairs, staffing, logistics and the timings that hold a day together. Menus are written for the event in front of us rather than chosen from a list, and when a table calls for food from somewhere other than the Mediterranean, we cook that too.

Mallorca has a mature event industry behind the scenery: florists, photographers, entertainers and rental firms who do this every week of the season. That infrastructure is why an event here can be built to a standard rather than improvised.
Production catering taught us the harder version of this. Shoots go where the light is, the call sheet moves, and there is rarely a kitchen — so we bring our own, work across several locations in a day, and plan for the schedule changing rather than assume it holds. A venue with no power or no access is a problem we have already solved.
Eight years here means we know which suppliers turn up, which venues have a kitchen and which do not, and how the island behaves in August. That is the part you cannot buy in.
It is also why the local economy matters to how we work, which is set out below.
We make no claim to have solved this. Catering for two hundred people in a field uses power, water and vehicles, and it would be easy to present that differently.
What we can set out plainly is where the money goes.
Produce is bought on the island. We buy from Mallorcan growers, fishermen and suppliers — for the quality of the food, and because it keeps the spending within the local economy.
Our team is paid properly. Fair wages, proper training, and staff who have been with us three and four years. In seasonal work that is uncommon, and it is visible in the standard of service on the day.
Tourism should pay its way. A wedding here should leave something behind for the people who deliver it: the venue, the florist, the grower, the team in the kitchen. That is the part of this industry we think is worth protecting.
Each year we look for further ways to reduce waste and our footprint. We would rather report results than make commitments in advance, and there will be more to set out here.
Tell us what you are planning and we will tell you how we would run it.

"During our planning, Max and the team were brilliant to work with. They were professional, responsive and collaborative in how we agreed a menu together, making suggestions while keeping our vision front and centre. They placed a real emphasis on the overall experience and "feel" of the day, looking to create an atmosphere of fun and joy facilitated by amazing food and drink. We had the best of days, our guests couldn't stop talking about the food, and we absolutely loved it! Thank you so much everyone!""

"La Van catered two meals for our wedding and it would not have been the tremendous success that it was without them. From their responsiveness during the planning stages to the quality of the food and staff during the meals, I can't say enough good things. Everything was top notch, they went above and beyond. I look forward to using La Van again for other occasions and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them."
"The family style meal isn't just a bog standard wedding meal with X courses, tea/coffee & dessert. Its a well curated & exceptionally creative meal with delivers guests with an experience rather than a meal. Thank you so much La Van for everything you did for us on our big day. We wish you every success in the wedding industry and beyond!!

"We had the pleasure of working with La Van Mallorca for our recent management offsite in Mallorca, and they absolutely delivered excellent services and food! From start to finish, everything was seamless — the food was great, fresh, beautifully presented, and perfect to our needs. They where extremely professional, friendly and relaxed, which made a real difference for our group. Overall all of us felt they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Multiple people from our leadership team commented that this was the best catering we’ve had at any offsite. "
